My friends and I stopped by this restaurant after getting dropped off in the Bronx and saw that they had great reviews on Google. I've never had mofongo so I was very curious to see how it was! I wasn't expecting the ambiance of the restaurant to be as fancy as it was. I was expecting a local, casual joint, but the prices and ambiance said otherwise. Seems like someplace to go to celebrate or have a night out. The service was slow but I am going to assume it's because there was an enormous party right next to us. The food also took a long time to come out, but the flavor made up for it. This was my first time trying mofongo and I loved it! We had it with ox tail stew and the stew was amazing. It was sooo flavorful and the ox literally fell off the bone. The actual mofongo (pounded plantains) also had pork pounded into it and everything blended like harmony. The mofongo on itself wasn't as great and a little bland but that's why the stew was there! I think I would've liked it less if I got a dry meat with it 9/10. I don't know when I'll be in the Bronx again but I would go again for this dish!

Ambiance was excellent, came for the DR Independence Day. The beans were like so good, with rice. I never liked beans but I was obsessed. Salmon was decent. Ny strip was way overcooked. But over all I'll def come again.

Food is amazing service is amazing. We traveled from Times Square for lunch and it was worth every minute. I'm trying to convince my husband to go back for breakfast. I will return each time I come to NYC.

Authentic Dominican food. The options are very limited as to traditional Dominican staples, but the food was fresh and it was good. The waiter was attentive and polite.

I felt like I was in the DR at this restaurant with loud latin music playing and Mexican baseball playing on the tv! I loved that it felt like a neighborhood staple for the community. The mofongo was fantastic and the drink cocktails made me feel like I was on the beach! Service was attentive and easy to flag down.

This place is close to my new place, so gathered a group of friends to try it out for dinner. We got a private room upstairs, which was nice and spacious. I shared a Mixed Platter appetizer with a friend, which included tostones, sausage, beef, pork, as well as chicken. The highlights were the satisfyingly crunchy tostones, juicy sausage, and succulent pork. For my main course, I decided on the Fish Mofongo, which was absolutely delicious! The white fish was perfectly tender with plenty of well seasoned sauce, full of bold flavor. The Mofongo was of excellent quality, and had bits of pork throughout. The mashed plantain was soft, with just the right consistency. The chocolate cake was tasty with smooth, rich, sweet chocolate frosting, along with moist cake. Service was solid. Our waitress was patient and accurate with the orders. Everything came out in a timely manner. I do think the prices are on the high side, but I would like to return at some point to try other menu items.

This restaurant has amazing Dominican food and service. We were a party of 9 and walked in without reservations on a Sunday night. We were seated right away and Katherine our waitress was amazing. They have so many different menu options and drinks. I had the churrasco steak with Mofongo and was delicious! They serve big portions a well. Definitely give this place a try!
